Steve Harrison lives in the Southern Highlands of NSW (see map) and shares this house and the workshop shown on these pages with his partner Janine King. Steve is an authority in a wide range disciplines associated with ceramics and has made a big contibution to Australian woodfiring as a craftsman, kiln builder, teacher and author. Two of his books are specifically concerned with wood firing and are described here. Janine works in a style outside the scope of Sidestoke but her contribution to the prodigious amount of work that has gone into their establishment must be acknowledged.
