Arch under floor constructed, castable floor leveling done

Note that bracing has been added at front and back to prevent the floor arch collapsing. The loose bricks on plastic cover the bagwall areas. The castable material used to level the floor above the floor arch was a good brew, not affected by salt. The manufacturer's name and address , printed on the bag, was

They do not seem to be operating under that name now. If anyone knows what they became please let me know. We used this stuff in the construction of our anagama and need some more for repairs.

If you look at the exit flues photo you will realise that this flat floor should have had indentations at the far side to make the exit flue construction easier.

The lower photo shows the floor arch under the castable fill.


The length of firewood here is to keep the steel bracing at the correct separation to guide the rest of the wall as it is constructe
