'I am now about to attack taking the chimney above the roof level. Have to go about 14ft above roof line. As I get older I find I don't have quite the head for heights I once had. But no one else will do it.' - Geoff Crispin
Geoff finished the chimney without plunging to his death, and later sent two more photos of the process. The trestles were stabilised with ropes.
The top of the finished chimney is 14 feet above the roofline and 25 feet above the average height of the air inlets.
Note that the sky has turned to grey. The chimney was finished just before the arrival of drought breaking rain.
