Construction of the anagama:  Grant and Isaac have constructed, but not yet fired, an anagama at Grant's place.
It is a long  tube with not a huge amount of variation in the cross sectional shape. This has advantages during construction because the arch formers can be used in a number of locations along the length of the chamber.

The side doorway.  The kiln is long, and this doorway is essential for easier packing.
