The Monks residence
The
Monks house is reached via a very steep road and sits in a Flooded
Gum (Eucalyptus grandis) forest. During construction it was
deemed necessary to remove one tree because of the possibility
that it would fall across the house. The execution of this plan
fell short of perfection because the tree, when cut down, landed
directly on the house. Fortunately the rock walls are so massive
in that section of the house that the destruction was not total.
