Carol Rosser Height 31cm Fired on its side. Sea shell and wad clay marks. Blackwood (Acacia melanoxylon) and Red Gum (Eucalyptus tereticornis) natural ash effects. The white spots are due to inclusion of coarse silica particles in the clay. |
The reverse side received a much heavier coating of Blackwood ash, with evidence of carbon inclusion in the dark areas. In some places there are paler surface cystals on the ash glaze. |
