The bricks outlined in blue are involved in the outer wall of the kiln. Those outlined in green are in the dividing wall 1 between the fireboxes. The red outlined bricks marked 3 are the start of the corbel arches. Two of them will be embedded in the outer wall. The gap at 4 is for the loose bricks involved in the mousehole, secondary air, and front hob. The bricks at 2 and 5 mark the optional extra apertures at mousehole level.The steelwork at this stage is a temporary structure used to keep the walls lined up correctly. |
